Who should be taking this course? For whom is this course designed and intended?Grade 10 students Philosophy statement for and/or behind teaching this course:It is important for students to learn about and develop an appreciation for the world that God has created. Our world includes many things that are carefully ordered and mathematics studies many of these. Major course goals:Students will examine whole numbers and decimals.Students will look at a variety of graphing techniques. Students will distinguish between various measurement terms, including linear measurement, area, volume, and perimeter. Students will discover the relationship between fractions, ratios and percent. Students will learn about geometry through the study of shapes and angles.
