Grade 9-12 students

Philosophy statement for and/or behind teaching this course:

Students learn about and develop an appreciation for communication through text, photos, and design in the practical environment of publishing a yearbook about the unique school God has given us. The journalism, photography, and web design skills students learn in the course and easily transferred to other projects.

Pre-requisite(s):

Experience with web design and/ or Dreamweaver is strongly recommended.

Provided by NSA: Dreamweaver program
Purchased by student: A digital camera (or film camera and scanner) is strongly recommended

Forecasted amount of time required to complete each week's lesson:

Students should spend a minimum of 3 hrs per week on the yearbook lessons and activities.

Description of student evaluations, quizzes, and tests:

Students are required to submit a variety of assignments for marking. These include interviews, assignment questions, layouts projects, unit quiz, etc.
